I was elected to represent District E on the Stephenson County Board in 2022. As a life long citizen of Stephenson County, I want to be a new voice in the conversation of what the future of Stephenson County should look like. I believe in a service oriented and community fueled local government.

F.A.Q.s

  • The Stephenson Nursing Center continues to be a primary concern. As many voters have made clear to me, a nursing center is precisely the kind of service a government should provide for its citizens. There are obstacles to overcome, but through the guidance of our fantastic management company and the support of the people, Walnut Acres can continue to serve our county. This isn't about money. This isn't about some abstract philosophy of the purpose of government. This is about people in need and how we the community can assist them.

  • Generally, it’s the North West corner of Freeport. Check out the map for specific boundaries.

  • A proclamation declaring that if we were asked by the state, Stephenson County would not house migrants fleeing war and oppression at the southern border. It should be noted, Stephenson County has not been asked to house any such migrants.

I think this was a ridiculous political stunt lacking in any semblance of compassion. The only thing this proclamation achieved was to declare that even in theory, Stephenson County would not open our doors to families who are looking to us for safety and security. Families that have risked their lives to find refuge within in our borders.

I opposed this proclamation in committee, at the full board, and maintain that opposition.

  • I have been appointed to the Administration Committee and the Public Works Committee.
